Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 M-Serial

One of our favourite 5 digit Rolex’s, the Sea-Dweller was a long under-appreciated piece that is now finally getting the recognition it deserves as a more interesting take on the Sub, with higher specifications and a lack of cyclops.

This particular M-serial piece dates from 2008 and presents in TZ ‘Excellent’ condition. Case is thick, with even lugs. Shows minor marks and some light scuffs and scratches on the case sides, but no dings/nicks etc.

Original SuperLuminova dial is in superb condition with no visible signs of wear. Hands are matching. Bezel shows some mild patina, but in excellent overall condition. Crystal is also excellent.

Bracelet is a 93160A with solid endlinks, and an EO stamped clasp which is correctly dated for an M serial. Has 10 links and will fit roughly a 7.5in wrist. Shows minimal stretch, and only minor marks.

Service history unknown. Currently keeping time at around +6 secs a day at 300+ degrees of amplitude. Winding is very smooth.

Comes with outer box, inner box, hang tags, card holder and warranty card (expired).

Excellent example of one of Rolex’s coolest pre-ceramic sports pieces.
