Rolex GMT-Master 1675 Pepsi MK 2.5
One of our favourite series in the long line of GMT’s, the 1675 embodies all that is great about vintage GMT’s. It can’t help but evoke dreams of vast intercontinental trips during the golden age of air travel. This particular reference is the one that springs to most peoples mind when they think of the GMT, with it’s blue and red ‘Pepsi’ bezel, matte dial and classically proportioned case.
This particular example hails from circa-1973 and features a Mk2.5 tritium matte dial in very good condition, with an even speckling patina across it. Shows some signs of minor repair on its very outer edge between 8 and 11. Plots are full with a lovely, deep patina. Hands match perfectly.
Date wheel is silver, with open 6’s and 9’s.
Bezel is in excellent condition, with some light fading present in both portions.
The case is nicely preserved. Has been polished in the past, but retains thick lugs. Shows marks throughout.
Comes equipped on a folded link 6251H Jubilee, with 22 links and dated 1971 which is correct for this era being about 2 years younger than the watch. Shows average stretch for its age. Clasp coronet is very pronounced. Will fit up to a 7.6in wrist.
Serviced last year according to the previous owner. Keeping COSC time at high 200’s amplitude. Date changes over as it should.
No box or papers. Comes with Watch Vault cleaning cloth and Watch Vault travel pod.
Lovely example of one of Rolex’s most iconic watches.
