Rolex Explorer I 114270 36mm
The Explorer I from Rolex doesn’t need an introduction, I’m sure most of you you know what it is. Just in case you aren’t familiar with them, the Explorer I was one of the original tool watches from Rolex, and it’s lineage has continued unabated since 1953.
This particular example is a F-Serial 114270, dating from circa-2004, and presents in excellent neo-vintage condition. Case is thick, with excellent finishes in place. Case and bezel show scratching and scuffs from regular use, as well as some small nicks around the lugs and a few small pin dents on the case sides. Case back shows rub marks. Bracelet is a 78690 with solid endlinks, and 10 links. Clasp code is CL4, indicating it’s also from 2004. Minimal stretch for its age, and shows minor desk diving marks. Caseback stamped 2080.
Service history is unknown. Currently keeping COSC time at high 200’s amplitude.
Comes with outer box, inner box, Explorer booklet, booklet holder and hangtag. No papers.
