Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000
Super cool things, these Cosmic 2000’s. Utilising a monocoque case design, where the inner section including the caseback, movement, dial and mineral crystal are fitted within a synthetic sleeve and are then pressed into the outer monocoque, with the use of multiple gaskets allowing for water resistance not common in its era. They were also quite oversized for the time, with a 38mm case in steel, and a range of simple, yet beautiful dial options, making them feel very contemporary on the wrist.
This particular piece houses a silver dial within it’s steel case, with applied indexes with tritium plots on their outer edge, and very cool sword hands in tritium. The dial is in lovely condition, with some minor scratches, and a few small dust flecks present. All plots in place. Hands are full, and in excellent condition.
The case is in excellent vintage condition, with some marks and small dings commensurate with it’s age. Retains very sharp lines and excellent finishes.
The bracelet shows an Omega logo on the clasp, but no markings on the inside so believed to be aftermarket. Shows little stretch, and will fit a wrist up to 7.4 inches.
Last serviced about 10 years ago. Currently keeping time at around +14 seconds a day at 260 degrees of amplitude. All functions operating as they should.
Comes with Watch Vault cleaning cloth and Watch Vault travel case. No box or papers.
Lovely piece of Omega’s history, with a stunning dial and contemporary sizing.
