The Master Control line has been a staple of the line-up for some years now, and is Jaeger LeCoultre doing what it does best; beautiful, classic dress watches made to an extremely high standard. While we love the simple executions of the MC line, the complicated pieces stand out as some thing truly special. This particular version is known as the Master Moon, and features a triple calendar as well as a moonphase complication
It features a wonderfully proportioned 37mm steel case measuring just 8.9mm in thickness, housing a black galvanised sunburst dial with half frosted Dauphine hands and red varnish-tipped pointer date hand, with polished dart indices and classical red-on-white printing for the day and month window. and is powered by the in-house Cal. 891-2-440 automatic movement. This model is now discontinued and replaced by a larger 40mm model, leaving this as a traditionalists choice for those that prefer the more classical proportions.
This particular piece was first purchased in 2000 and presents in very good condition. The case shows some scratches and light scuffs as is common with JLC’s due to the steel they use along with the high polish finish, but no deep nicks, dings or dents. Rear of the lugs show some scratches from strap changes. Please see images for full condition details.
