Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto Rosa on Bracelet C01-41APT2-T00A0
Christopher Ward are masters at providing very high quality, and beautifully executed watches at very compelling price points, and with the introduction of the Bel Canto they have also now democratised one of the most storied of complications, the Sonnerie.
Utilising CW’s first case made in titanium, it measures in at 41mm with a 48mm lug-to-lug and 13mm thick, and is constructed in such a way as to amplify the sound of the chime as much as possible. Within this case lies a brushed rose dial which is subtle, and beautiful in person. Atop this dial is the real star of the show. With it’s MB&F-esque architecture, the time-telling portion of the dial sits at 12 and leaves an unencumbered view of the chiming mechanism below.
The movement is pretty special, and is based around a Sellita SW200 with a FS01 chiming module from Christopher Ward atop it, with components made by such industry heavyweights such as Chronode and Armin Strong helping to bring it all together. When the chiming module is activated using the pusher on the side of the case it will chime every hour, and can then be turned off using the same pusher. The result is a chiming watch that is super easy to use, with a very high level of finish, a gorgeous sound, and fantastic wearability especially on the lovely CW Titanium bracelet as fitted to this example.
This particular piece was delivered in January 2024 and remains in TZ ‘Near Mint’ condition, with no signs of wear that we can see other than some marks on the screw heads from resizing and the smallest of hairlines on the bracelet. Clasp still has plastic on it. Please see images for full condition details.
Comes with outer sleeve, outer box, inner box, warranty card dated January 2024, cleaning cloth, and owners handbook.
Save yourself some $$$’s on the landed cost for a near-mint example.
