Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 3592.50 ‘Hesalite Sandwich’
A personal favourite within the lineage of the iconic Speedmaster, the 3592.50 is the last of the tritium Speedy’s. Classic Speedy specs, but with the ability to develop a patina unlike the newer Superluminova pieces. Add to that a beautiful view of the 863 gilt movement with this Hesalite Sandwich reference, and the wonderful 1479 bracelet and you’ve got pretty close to Speedy-perfection in our eyes.
This particular piece was first sold in 1997 and presents in excellent vintage condition. The case shows scratches, scuffs and small dings commensurate with its age, though nothing large.
Amazingly uniform patina has developed on the tritium markers, with the hands being lighter in colour. The hesalite shows some scratching and small nicks, most prominent between 11 and 12. See images for full details.
Unknown service history. Winds smoothly, chrono pushers operate as they should, and hand resets to 0. Currently keeping COSC time at high-200’s amplitude.
Bracelet is a super tight 1479 with 816 endlinks with enough links to fit roughly a 7.3in wrist.
Comes with outer box, inner box, warranty card dated 20.01.97 (expired), document case, instruction booklet, Watch Vault cleaning cloth and agents booklet.
A superb example of one of our favourite neo-vintage Speedy’s.
