Rolex Submariner 16610LV Kermit ‘D’ Serial
If you’re reading this you’re probably familiar with the famous Kermit Submariner, originally released to celebrate 50 years of the Sub. It’s a special piece in a few ways; green bezel, maxi dial, pre-ceramic case. It was the only Sub to have these features, and really makes it stand out from the rest and ensure permanent collectability.
This particular example is a D serial and dates from circa-2006, and presents in TZ ‘Good’ condition. The case is thick and sharp, and very clean overall given it’s nearly 20 years old. Shows some scratches and scuffs commensurate with regular use and the reason for the ‘Good’ rather than ‘Excellent’ grading is the presence of some very minor nicks along the bevel lines. Please see images for full condition details.
The bezel insert was replaced in a 2018 RSC service, and is extremely clean.
Bracelet contains 11 links and would suit a roughly 7.8in wrist. Shows only minor stretch, and some desk diving marks. Clasp code is OP3, so correct for a 2006 model year. Coronet on the clasp is pronounced, indicating only minimal polishing if at all.
Serviced by RSC Singapore in 2018, it’s currently keeping time at around +6 secs a day at 298 degrees of amplitude.
Comes with outer box, inner box, booklets, calendar, booklet holder, hang tag, punched papers (expired) and RSC service receipt.
A superb example of Rolex’s coolest 5 digit Sub
